Why do I have chronic pain?

Muscle imbalance and movement issues are often the root cause of chronic pain, and when one system is compromised others are affected. For example: When the musculoskeletal system is stressed due to trauma, poor posture, repetitive movements the body will develop areas of over work and under work throughout the body that will create strain patterns which will eventually effect your posture and lead to pain. As a Corrective Exercise Specialist I will use corrective strengthening and flexibility exercises combined with Myoskeletal Techniques to help improve muscle imbalances and movement efficiency to decrease the risk of injury. I do not attempt to treat the area of dysfunction but  assess the entire human movement system to get to the root of the problem and correct the cause, not just the symptom. Because eliminating the cause is the best way to eliminate the pain.

Assessment and evaluation

I evaluate and assess the whole-body and look for dysfunction in muscle tone, flexibility, strength, posture and functional movement patterns and design a comprehensive program that will correct imbalances to resote function, strength and alleviate discomfort.The sessions will include self myofacial release, muscle strengthening, core, stretching and balancing techniques. Also, I include instructions on all exercises to help aid a supplemental home exercise program.
